The Nation reports that the banking, construction, construction, manufacturing sectors, as well as food processing companies, will be allowed to open from Monday. Dr. Aliyu Sani, national coordinator of the PTF on Covid-19 stated these during the daily briefing by the Presidential Task Force on COVID-19 pandemic.


RexGists had earlier reported that the task force said bank branches operating in Lagos, Ogun and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) will be open to customers, starting from Monday, May 4.


The president who had in his broadcast directed a partial reopening of the state said governors are free to modify the directive based on their state's peculiarities. In line with this, the Lagos governor has on Wednesday, April 29, directed that all schools in the state remain closed while at the same time suspending all commercial motorcycling (Okada) operation. Going further, the governor said markets in the state will open from 9am to 3pm on selected days. "All entertainment centres including gyms, spa, recreational facilities inside private estates are to remain closed for two weeks. This would be reviewed after 2 weeks," the governor added.
